Cox Rhode Island Sports Awards
The Cox Rhode Island Sports Awards is an annual award show that honors the best and brightest athletes the Ocean State has to offer. Entering it's seventh year in 2013, awards are given to the top male and female athlete at each of their respective high school sports. Voting is comprised of three different categories - the general public, a board of governors, and Eident Sports.

Ben Mondor Award for Community Service::
The Ben Mondor Award was created in 2011 to honor of the beloved and well-respected owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox who passed away on October 4, 2010. This award is presented annually to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions in a positive way in the realm of sports in Rhode Island – just as Mondor did every day.
    2012: Jason Pisano (Local athlete)
    2011: Steve Mcdonald (Local Sports Personality)

Vanguard Award:
Each year the Vanguard Award is given to an honoree of Rhode Island roots who has exemplified great character and success throughout their career in sports.
    2007: Michael Tranghese (Big East Conference)
    2008: Ben Mondor (Pawtucket Red Sox)
    2009: Lou Lamoriello (PC, Big East Conference, New Jersey Devils, USA Hockey)
    2010: Ron Wilson (Toronto Maple Leafs, USA Hockey)
